Align and Strength Yoga
Class focuses on building strength, stamina, and flexibility in the physical body. It is appropriate for those new to Yoga as well as those with plenty of yoga experience-options and modifications are always offered. Each class starts with a flowing series to warm up the spine and heat up the body, followed by a series of held postures to build strength, stability and stamina. Class ends with gentle stretches to improve flexibility.
Warm Vinyasa Flow Yoga
A faster paced, dynamic class that incorporates movement; linking yoga postures with breath in a meditative technique. Performed in a heated room - between 85 and 95 degrees.
Yoga Fundamentals
The class will provide instruction in the basic understanding of breathing (pranayama), and poses (asanas), alignment, standing and seated postures. A great class for beginning students or for those that want to get back to the basics.
Yin Yoga
While more active "yang" styles of yoga target the muscles, yin targets and affects the connective tissues, which include our fascia, ligaments, joints, cartilage, and bones. This makes yin yoga a great complement to more vigorous practices like vinyasa. You can expect yin classes to be slow-paced with long holds—sometimes more than five minutes to enable you to explore sensation and to better get to know your body, allowing you to figure out how "deeply" to go (or not go) in each pose. We will not do any standing poses and all other poses are proped.
Relax, Renew, Restore Yoga
This class is a combination of restorative yoga and gentle stretching to relax and renew the body and mind. In restorative yoga, each pose is held for a long time- 2 mins to 20 mins. The main focus while being in these poses is to physically (and eventually mentally) let go and completely relax the body and mind. It is when we can "let go" of our holding patterns that our body finds a state of balance that will help it heal. For All levels.
GENTLE YOGA
The hour is intended to relax your body and mind with intentional breathing and stretches that will refresh your entire body. The class is mainly done seated or on your back.
